The Africa and Middle East Research Division of the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik runs a German-Iranian Dialogue that brings researchers from SWP and the Iranian Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) together with politicians and civil servants. The talks focus on bilateral relations as well as on questions of regional security. 

The last dialogue was held in Berlin in 2019.
