Italian-German Strategic Dialogue

The dialogue forum is a closed event organised jointly with the leading Italian think tank IAI (Istituto Affari Internazionali) and attended by high-ranking representatives from business, government and think tanks, as well as journalists from Germany and Italy. It has been held alternately in Berlin and Rome since 2016. The aim is to promote the exchange of views on the most important issues on the European Union's current political and economic agenda.

Until 2018, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation was the SWP and IAI's partner in Rome, and from 2019 to 2021, this role was taken over by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES). Since 2022, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) in Rome has been our cooperation partner.
