Activities

Our Brussels Office

  • organises regular confidential discussions and background briefings for invited guests, and holds events in cooperation with the Brussels institutions, other think tanks, foundations, regional and diplomatic representations, employers’ organisations and NGOs;

  • offers SWP researchers a base for short- and longer-term research trips to Brussels and supports them in efforts to set up international EU research consortia;

  • participates in informal, policy-specific and thematic consultation processes of the EU and NATO organs and in public hearings of the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee;

  • disseminates SWP publications to EU and NATO decision-makers;

  • facilitates contact between Brussels-based representatives of EU and NATO with SWP researchers in Berlin.
