SWP Research Paper 2008/RP 07, August 2008, 19 pages
by Christopher Chivvis

Iraq's future nevertheless remains uncertain and the possibility that the situation could deteriorate into a broader regional crisis remains.

This paper identifies key German interests and assesses German policy options.
